Sweet Potato Donut

Here i make Donut.. not really nice shape.. :)


Ingredient:
320 grams flour (a bit more if the dough is too sticky)
2 tsp yeast
1/2 tsp salt
150 grms mashed sweet potatoes
2 tbsp sugar
30 grms butter
100 ml water

For coating
Some sugar or icing sugar

1. In a large mixing bowl mix all the ingredients together and knead for about 6-7 minutes until you get nice smooth dough. Add some extra flour if it’s so sticky. Cover the bowl with a dry kitchen towel and let double it size at a warm place.
2. Punch down the dough and remove onto a floured work tabletop. Roll out the dough to about 1cm thick and cut the dough out into rounds with a donuts cutter. Gather the snaps and re-roll, then cut out more donuts.
3. Place donuts on parchment paper,cover and let rise for 20 minutes
4. Heat oil for deep-frying in a frying pan over medium heat.
5. When the donuts are golden brown, turn them over and cook the other side. It takes about 2–3 minutes to cook through. When donuts are done, remove from oil and drain the oil on paper towels before rolling them in sugar.

Make sure that the oil is not too hot otherwise the donuts will not be cooked. and its cause your donut black.. like what happen to me :)

Ikan teri and Smelly Bean (Family's Favorite)

As our family love spicy food alot.. This is one of our family favorite! my grandmum teach me how to cook this.. till now my mum still cook this and now my turn to try..!



Ingredient:
~ 300 gr Indonesia Anchovies
~ 1 cup cooking oil
~ 10 red chilli, cut long.
~ 1 packet of Smelly Bean, washed
~ 2 shallot, shredded
~ Indian Bay Leaves (daun salam)
sugar and salt to taste

Method:
~ heat up the cooking oil and fried the anchovies till golden brown and set aside
~ with remaining oil, fry the shallot till golden brown add the chilli and bay leaves.
~ when the chilli is cooked, add in fried anchovies, and smelly bean, stir.
~ and add salt and sugar to taste.

u can add potato too if you want.

Minced Egg Tofu with Minced Meat and Crab Meat

Here one of the dish that I made recently that is pretty simple, yet full of favour.


Ingredients
2 tubes egg tofu*
4 ounces ground pork
3 crabmeat
1 Teaspoon sesame oil
1 Teaspoon light soy sauce
1/2 Teaspoon ground white pepper
1 Teaspoon cornstarch
2 stalks green onion, chopped
*Note: if you can't get the crab meat, use prawn.

Method
1. Ground pork, sesame oil, soy sauce, white pepper and cornstarch together
2. Cut the tofu crosswise into 16 round pieces, about 2 cm in thickness.
3. Lay the rounds in a shallow dish and scoop out the centers with a spoon to form a bowl.
4. Spoon some of the ground pork mixture into the tofu bowls.
5. Cut the crab meat into 1cm lengthwise.
6. Top each of the tofu and ground pork rounds with a piece of crab meat
7. Steam the dish for 15 minutes to make sure the ground pork is cooked through.
8. Garnish with the chopped green onions. Serve hot with rice.

i dont have spring onion so took it without spring onion.. but its still nice..!

Choco Almond Cake!

I made cake again. nice.. turns out good :) Not really sweet and spongy!


I hope i have maid who help me to clean all these.. but too expensive to hire a maid in Singapore.. :(

Nasi Goreng Blu Band (Blue Band Fried Rice)

Blue Band Margarine is really popular in Indonesia. many of Indonesian use it to make biscuit or bread.. the taste is better than Planta (one of margarine brand in Singapore)really..


Today Blue Band Fried Rice for my bento...!! its simple and nice...

U need:
1 cup rice
2 medium egg(sausage, ham or bean also can)
2 tbsp Blue Band Margarine (u can put more if u want)

Method:
heat up the Blue Band margarin till the margarine is melt.. add up egg,.. and rice.. Done..!! :)

after my cupcakes class.. we went to si fu house.. i hao lien my masterpices to them.. :) after that go home..

bought 1 BBQ duck for S$13.80 so i cook what i can find in the fridge for dinner.. so the deng......
simple dish yet delicious!they love it..

must sleep early today.. tomorrow i have outing with family to sentosa.. im the one who prepare the food!

Cupcake Lesson!

went to baking class today.. its really really nice!! i think $50 worth it.. good teacher and found new friend.. thanks Debi..your cupcake is really great :)..

they impress when they look at my cupcakes..



nice isnt it??? will make somemore next time :) but not so much cream..

in the afternoon i make garlic bread..not really nice.. still need improvement.. will add more garlic and butter next time..!
Not so beautiful never let it proof enough..but the one i use cup cake one not bad right??

ok i am not expert im only beginner. so this is simple one!




Corn Cake

I have this recipe long time ago.. i want to make it long time ago.. but only now then i can make it!

Bread with some Corn Cake
i have this on my bento box for 3 days as my family don't eat at home except weekend if i cook.. :) so i must finish it myself!

Ingredient:
4 Sweet Corn, Shredded.
1 can whole corn.
3 stalk spring onion
200gr prawn, chopped
2 egg
4 tbsp bread flour
2 tsp corn flour
salt to taste
pepper to taste

Method:
1. Mix all corn, spring onion, prawn and egg together
2. add in bread flour, salt, and pepper
3. use tablespoon to shape your batter and fried it in hot oil. fried till golder brown.

easy and simple meals.

NOTE: if it is too watery add more flour.!
its best when u serve it hot. if you cant fried all at one you can keep this in fridge for 3 days.

1st Bread Attemp

after work.. i rushed to giant..plan to make sausage bread tonight :) not really a good result..! i eat durian again.. papa buy for me n ma.. good Durian but i don't like it.. cos it a lil bit bitter.

This is the first time i bake bread.. mmm not really good enough.. as i not really let it to proof!
will try again soon..Thanks KS for the step by step recipe. its a great recipe.

Pandan Sandwitch + Scramble Egg


i made a scramble egg sandwitch after i get my new toy.. wake up early as my working at 9am..quite fun..but local bread its too small i think or it is standard size?? i make 6 set..KC, da jie , Er jie, her darling , Audrey..(upsss not Audrey, should be Abel) abel is er jie dog , and mama...
