Green Bean Soup

Just a simple and easy dessert at home.. :)

Grean Bean Soup
Ingredient:
- 300gr of grean bean
- 3L water
- 1-1.5 cup of plam sugar
- 1/2 cup of caster sugar (optional, depend on your taste)
- 6 pandan leave
- pinch of salt

Method:
- wash the bean, throw all the bean skin which fload in the water.
- cook the grean bean with 2.5L water , till its cook. Set aside
- In another pot, cook the plam sugar with 500ml water and pandan leave. let it boil. sieve.
- Add the sugarplam syrup and salt into greanbean soup dan let it boil for awhile.

Failed Macaroon

what a sad thing.. well its normal i think.. im just a junior baker which is failed on her 1st macaroon attempt!! :) i saw alot of blogger friend who failed in macaroon attempt.. they even tried quite few time.. even 10 times..i really envy their passion.. :)

But NO WORRIES...
i will attend the macaroon class next 7th November at Sugar Inc Cake it cost me 100++.. what do u think ? is it expensive..? well.. its a cheapest i can find :) i think its better i go to attend class then i waste the ingredient cost which im not sure whether i can make i pretty macaroon.. dont u think so?

Cream Puff

ci huyyyy.. today im going to Shi fu house.. and im thinking to make a puff.. i can bring for all cousin and aunt to try.. :) yeah.. they are my guinea pig.. :D Shi Fu is vegetarian.. so she cannot try..as its made from egg.. ! and i bring some cookies too.. they said. its good.. and they finish all the puff.. *happy*


Ingredients for Puffs:
  • 130g Butter
  • 1 1/2 cup Water
  • 1 tablespoon Caster Sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Fine Salt
  • 180g Plain Flour (sifted)
  • 5 Eggs Grade A
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Essence
  • piping bags & nozzles
Ingredient for Butter Vla:
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 50 gr cornstarch
  • 500 ml fresh milk
  • 75 gr sugar
  • 1 sdm rhum (optional)

How to make:

  1. Melt the cornstarch with some milk, shake off the yolk, mix together. Set aside.
  2. Boil milk and sugar, stirr until sugar dissolves. Pour the cornstarch mix, mix well and fast to prevent burnt, let boil once again. set a site and let it cool.
Method:
  1. Pre-heat oven at 200c. Grease baking tray or place a sheet of non-stick baking sheet on it.
  2. Melt butter, water, caster sugar & salt in a pot under medium heat until butter is dissolved, then turn off the fire.
  3. Turn on the fire again at low heat. Fold in sifted flour, cook until the mixture to form a soft dough, remove from heat.
  4. Transfer hot dough into a mixing bowl, pour in vanilla essence & beat for a few minutes to reduce the temperature of the hot dough.
  5. Mix in eggs one at a time, beat thoroughly for each addition. Beat the mixture become a smooth batter. (When mixing in the eggs, make sure the temperature of the hot dough will not cook the eggs)
  6. Transfer smooth batter into a piping bag & pipe out the batter onto the baking tray. Bake in the pre-heated oven for 20 minutes, reduce heat to 170c & bake for another 10 minutes.
  7. Let the baked puffs to cool on the cooling rack. Use a pair scissor to slit a big opening for all the puffs & pipe in the Vla filling.
